Join Kate Walsh, Founder of Real Food Projects as she guides you through the process of making jam, marmalade and chutney from scratch focusing on old techniques but new flavours. You’ll learn how to choose your seasonal fruit, sterilise your jars and equipment, understand the science behind jam-making and how to test for the ever ellusive setting point. We'll also cover how to make jam without using sugar and raw jams. In this hands on class, you’ll team up in small groups to make a jam and then take a jar home with you.

Class outline: Basics of jam and chutney making, hands on jam making, afternoon tea with plenty of jam tastings.

What we provide: Jam making kit worth $25, recipes, morning tea.
