Join Kate Walsh to learn how to preserve the seasons with small batch pickling at home. We'll cover vegetable selection, jar sterilisation, understanding salt & vinegar and then use some local seasonal vegetables and foraged native plants and herbs to make your own jar to take home. All participants will receive 10% off when they shop at the Harvest Deli that day.
Class outline: Pickling 101 - different types of pickles, vinegars, sterilising your bottles, hands on pickle making then a light lunch and pickle tastings with Harvest Executive Chef Bret Cameron.
